Artist, curator, and creative producer. Born 99.

My work explores how power moves, informs, grows, and mediates, with a focus on the body and identity.

The dual practice as artist and curator has greatly informed both aspects. Exhibitions allow me to approach ideas through the perspectives of many artists, gaining new insights and, crucially, translating them into live, semi-immersive spaces where I can watch audiences engage in real time. This has fuelled my fascination with  how environments, and the ideas that govern them, are built, and how they shape the ways people act within them.

The facilitation of these spaces has now evolved into a practice that uses systems, “creation” (as an ethically ambiguous term), and performance as both medium and mode of critique. I am currently interested in everything-as-performance, performance-as-everything, spectatorship, how power moves through the act of looking, and how to disrupt the flow of power from within governing systems - or if we ever can.
